ANR ANR
ANR provides funding for project-based research in all fields of science - for both basic and applied research - to public research organisations and universities, as well as to private companies (including SMEs). Employing a method based on competitive peer reviews compliant with international standards, ANR provides the scientific community with instruments and programmes promoting creativity and openness, and stimulate new ideas and partnerships, particularly between academia and industry. Its activity also contributes to enhancing the competitiveness and the influence of French research in Europe and across the world. Since 2010, ANR has also been the lead manager of the Investments for the Future programme in the field of higher education and research, in charge of project selection, funding and monitoring.
MSH LORRAINE MSH LORRAINE
MSH Lorraine : Maison des Sciences de l’Homme Lorraine (CNRS & University of Lorraine, USR 3261) This Institute for Social Sciences and Humanities, member of a French National Network (22 « MSH »), supports interdisciplinary and international research in Lorraine. As an Interdisciplinary incubator with an annual call for projects, the MSH Lorraine facilitates SHS research projets in their early stages, as such it is highly innovative and risk-taking, and particularly encourages project conducted with disciplinary areas other than the SHS. The composition of its scientific council (composed of external experts) is a guarantee of independence. Its research Support services composed of 10 professionals) helps researchers on a daily basis. Examples of this activity are the search for potential sources of funding, project management, financial assistance, administration, edition, visibility, dissemination, internet services and social networks. Scientific activity: 50 interdisciplinary research projects 300 researchers from a large number of laboratories and scientific fields in Lorraine (Social sciences and Humanities, mathematics, cognition, philosophy, computational sciences, technology, health, medicine, agricultural research and environmental science, innovation…), in cooperation with colleagues in France and from abroad. 3 thematic research programmes (new thematic priorities – 2015): - Border Studies, margins & transitions - Creation, culture, cultural Heritage - Digital Humanities, language, knowledge, society and 2 transversal themes: - Health and life quality - Digital research Follow us on Facebook & Twitter!
